Project Details of Mankoli Bridge
Mankoli bridge construction is in progress at Retibunder Mothagaon, on the side facing Dombivali, and Mankoli, on the side facing Bhiwandi.
This is one of the important infrastructural developments for the residents of the Kalyan-Dombivali area.
The six-lane 650-meter-long bridge is under construction on the river connecting Dombivali and Mankoli on the side of Bhiwandi.
The length of the Mankoli bridge is 4.60 KM.
Currently, two commute options from Dombivli to Mumbai are available.
- The first one is from Mumbai Fort via Dombivli, Mumbra, Thane, Mulund, and NH3.
- The Dombivli, Kalyan, Bhiwandi, Bypass. NH3 and the Mumbai route come in second.
There is a lot of traffic on both approaches. During times of heavy traffic, the distance between Dombivli and Kalyan can be travelled in up to two hours.
This Mankoli-Dombivali bridge will thereby help with traffic problems and, more crucially, it will make the travel across Dombivli and Thane only about 30 minutes.
Additionally, it will slow down traffic on the two lengthier routes.

- The Mankoli Dombivali bridge construction was started in 2017 and two years time frame was assigned to it as a deadline for completion which is up to 2019.
- Due to delayed land acquisition which took four years and after COVID-19 pandemic the project construction was a hold-up.
- Currently, the infrastructure project is in the final stages as the construction on the side of Bhiwandi is completed, only the bridge work over Ulhas Creek is under construction.
- MMRDA authority assured the bridge will be available by Jan 2024.
Impact of Mankoli Dombivali Bridge on Real Estate Sector
The increased connection among Dombivli, Thane, Kalyan, and Bhiwandi is made possible by the Motagaon Mankoli bridge.
The completion of this project will surge the demand for property in Thane and nearby localities.
It will be a huge comfort for the thousands of office workers who commute to Thane, Mulund, Bhiwandi, and other areas of Mumbai if the commute time is reduced.
The need for inexpensive houses in the regions of Dombivli, Kalyan, and Bhiwandi is increasing as a result of this excellent connectivity.
Property prices in Thane are significantly more reasonable than those in Borivali, where they range from Rs 9,000 to 12,800 per square foot.
Many prominent developers are taking advantage of this and building housing projects in this growing region.
