The Airoli Katai Naka freeway is the 12.30 km elevated 6-lane road project supervision under MMRDA.
This highway will be connecting the Airoli bridge to Parsik to Shilpata to Katai Naka in Maharashtra.
The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 944 crores.
The separation of the Airoli Katai Naka freeway project construction into 3 phases is been defined as
- Phase 1 holds 5.2 km. This road will be between Thane Belapur road & NH-48 near the Mumbra bypass. Out of 5.2 km, a 3.5 km section is under NH-48 & remaining 1.7km tunnel will be passing through Parsik hill.
- Phase 2 holds 2.2 km is an elevated road passing towards the east end of the Airoli bridge.
- Phase 3 holds a 6.3 km road constructed between NH-48 & Katai Naka. And it is parallel to the Diva-Pavel railway line.
