By enrolling on the public record entry portal, citizens will be able to apply for the modifications online thanks to software created by the office of the state settlement commissioner.
According to officials, if a citizen registered on the portal for adjustments to the mutation entry, the changes will be recorded in the 7/12 extracts after 40 days of the notification.
Sarita Narke, the statewide director added for the Digital India Property Records Modernization Program, this one-of-a-kind feature will allow anyone with a land holding in any area of the state to submit for amendments using this software while sitting at home.
“It is simple to use, will ensure less traffic in the Talathi centres, eliminate middlemen, and increase process transparency.
Additionally, citizens can follow applications and get updates on their progress. Despite the fact that the service was introduced two years ago, during the Covid time, it was necessary for additional people to use it in order to carry out adjustments in the 7/12 extract,” she added.
According to representatives from the settlement commissioner’s office, the procedure is straightforward.
After accessing the Mahabhumi website, you must click the e-Hakk link to access the website’s public data entry gateway.
One can choose from 10 services at 7/12 Mutations after enrolling, including applications for repairs, name addition, and heirship.
A scanned document is required for each service, after which an application ID is generated.
The documents are subsequently sent to Talathi Online for review.
If every query is answered positively, the mutation code will be created.
An official stated that this number can be used to follow the status of the document.
Once the mutation number is issued, the progress of the request may be found on both the Aapli Chavadi portal and the main Mahabhumi site under Bhulekh.
