The state property registration department has assisted the PMRDA (Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority), making it the first local government to electronically register Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) apartments from its office.
The procedure started last week, and as of Saturday, approximately 100 documents had been electronically registered, according to PMRDA officials.
In order for developers to register new flats electronically from the comfort of their own workplaces, builders received training and software sharing was made available.
First-sale apartments are being e- registered by 179 different developers through their own offices. Almost 1000 pieces of documentation have been registered in the first three months of this year, compared to 1,812 last year, according to registration department officials.
The Nigdi office of PMRDA handled the e-registration procedure for units in the housing programme.
With a total of 4,883 units, PMRDA is implementing the PMAY plan, containing 3,317 apartments for the economically disadvantaged group and 1,566 apartments for the low-income group. The housing project’s apartments were sold in a lottery and are currently being registered online.
One of the initial local authorities to carry out this procedure from the office is PMRDA. The beneficiary won’t need to go to the sub-registrar office, which will ease traffic at the registering office and make the process more convenient, according to a PMRDA officer.
All fees, including the final payment of the property sale price, late fees, stamp duties, society registration fees, maintenance fees, etc., that are necessary for registration must be paid by beneficiaries.
According to PMRDA guidelines, fees must be paid at least 4 months before the registration schedule.
