The Metro line connecting Garware College Station & Ruby Hall Clinic Terminal in the city is almost finished. It is anticipated to be finished by the end of March, which is good news for Pune residents.
In April, Pune Metro will begin offering its services along this stretch. After the construction is finished, the Central Committee will conduct an inspection trip before the public-access metro trains start running on the length.
When the line is operational, it would connect the metro to important city locations such as FC Road, Balgandharva Rangmandir, PMC, Wadia College, Jangli Maharaj Road, RTO, and others.
Here is a list of 6 stations connecting Garware College and Ruby Hall Clinic –
Deccan, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Park, PMC (Pune Municipal Corporation), RTO (Regional Transport Office), Shivajinagar District Court, and Pune Railway Station.
These structures measure about 140 metres in length, 26 metres in height, and 28 metres in width.
The three-dimensional (3D) roof construction of the station and the varying lengths, heights, and widths of each iron pillar & roof sheet made it difficult to build the station’s design.
The stations are 60 to 70 ft above the earth because both are located in the riverbed.
These stations, which are anticipated to open in April, could link locations such as JM Road, Modern College, Balgandharva Rangmandir, Deccan Gymkhana, Fergusson College, etc.
Moreover, construction on a walking bridge connecting these metro stations has started. A footbridge would link Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Park metro station via Shaniwar Peth and Narayan Peth to Deccan Station.
