The Punjab government said on Thursday that it had decided to waive 2.25% of the stamp duty fees for the registering of properties & land through the end of March. The cost of stamp duty falls in the ranges of 6 and 8%.
The government has decreased stamp duty and fees by 2.25% from March 1 through March 31, according to a statement from Bram Shanker Jimpa, Punjab’s Revenue Minister.
He declared that people choosing land registration will no longer be subject to the 1% stamp tax, 1% fee, and 0.25 % special fee.
He said that the state government had released a notice in this regard.
