Soon, prospective homeowners will be able to view all pertinent project information by just scanning a QR barcode located on the property registration certificates.
In the whole state of Maharashtra, developers’ registration certificates are now being given QR codes by the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA).
With a property registered in the Wagholi district of Pune, the procedure has already started.
“Smartphone users can scan the QR code to instantly access the basic information about each project. Also, anyone would be able to view any grievances filed against the project, “added the top MahaRERA representative.
According to RERA regulations, developers are required to disclose up-to-date information on construction progress (every quarter) & finances (every six months), the official added. Sunil Furde, president of State Credai, complimented the QR code programme.
This information ought to be made accessible by the promoters in their brochures, according to Ramesh Prabhu, the head of the Maharashtra Society Welfare Association. He recommended that “the authority issue a directive to show the QR code in all promotional materials.” Prabhu continued, “We expect the authorities to take active measures for blocked projects also.”
